A young artist was having his very first one-man exhibition. The day after it opened he hurried round to ask the gallery owner if there had been any interest in his paintings. "I have some good news and bad news," the owner replied. "The good news is that a gentleman was very interested in your work and wondered if it would appreciate in value after your death. When I told him it definitely would, he bought all twenty of your paintings." "That's wonderful," the artist exclaimed. "After that there surely can’t be bad news?"”Well . . . . “ replied the gallery owner hesitantly, ". . . . “the man is your doctor . . ."
